Savanna Hall provides much needed affordable housing units for the Washington Heights/Inwood neighborhood in Manhattan. About 25 of the 72 studio apartments house single homeless adults with mental illness, 22 apartments are affordable housing units for low-income single adults, and the remaining 25 apartments are for young adults aging out of residential treatment programs and foster care who are involved with the New York State Office of Mental Health. Though the project faced delays due to complexities in coordinating the installation of permanent utility services, the building was able to lease up on schedule.
