The development of Henry Apartments extended a vibrant retail corridor along Broadway while providing housing for the Ocean Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. The project consisted of two sites, one city owned, one privately owned, across the street from each other. The private lot was owned by Stan Henry, who had operated a hardware and building supply company there for several decades. Services for the UnderServed Inc. (SUS) and Alembic Development partnered with Mr. Henry to use both sites for a large supportive and affordable housing development.
