The East New York Health Hub project was a partial demolition of an old office building to make way for a modern and inviting outpatient community health center. The historic portion of the original building was integrated into the new structure, elegantly blending the traditional Brooklyn aesthetic of the original structure with the new modern facility.
The project is the centerpiece of a strategy to bring integrated health (both physical and mental) and social services to a long underserved community. Olive Branch’s approach focused and combined the contact resources of the client, contractor, and architect to clear away external obstacles so that a very able contractor could get to work. The result is a first class health and social service facility that communicates a serious commitment to the community.
